The General Financial Insights (GFI) is a credit risk assessment system that applies both psychometrics and behavioural sciences to estimate the risk that an individual will default on a loan. GFI results can be used by lenders to make better decisions about whether to grant loans to prospective borrowers. The GFI collects predictive data about borrowers that is not likely to be otherwise available to lenders. There are five variants of the GFI, tailored for microfinance, SME loans, consumer loans, leasing, and insurance.
